    This is a brief, official overview of the Earned Income Credit, from the Internal Revenue Service web site.

  2. Publication 596 - Earned Income Credit
    This IRS publication offers complete information about the EIC, including rules for those with or without children, how to claim the credit, how to get an advance payment, and detailed examples. This publication is also available in PDF format: Publication 596 (PDF). (Adobe Reader is required.)

  3. The Earned Income Tax Credit Outreach Kit
    This section of a web site, from the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities in Washington, D.C., offers several useful publications and brochures, including an explanation of the EIC and how to help promote more workers claiming it.
